Warranties

Should your product should fail within the warranty period, we recommend you hire a certified professional to diagnose the failure. The professional can then replace the failed item under the warranty provided if it falls under the condition of the manufacturer's warranty. Please read the manufacturer's warranty information before installation. You are responsible for labor charges associated with warranty of items purchased.

You can also contact us for warranty parts. Warranty claims on items purchased less than 60 days from original purchase date will be free of shipping and handling charges. BTU Direct will charge the warranty part to you up front and credit the amount back to you when the defective part is received at our warehouse. The defective part must be received at our warehouse within 30 days of receipt of the replacement part to be eligible for warranty credit. If not received, it will be treated as a part purchase. BTU Direct may request a copy of a receipt from a certified contractor to receive warranty.

Liability

BTU Direct LLC shall not be held liable for damages incurred upon shipping, installation and operation of all equipment sold. All equipment is intended to be installed by technicians with proper certification. We recommend you have a certified technician size your equipment also. You accept all liability for improper installation and equipment selection.

Cancellations of orders

To make a cancellation of an order before the item is shipped, please e-mail us in the contact us tab on the home page stating your pertinent information. We will refund your purchase minus a 10% restocking fee.

Refunds

Should a return of your system be necessary, we will refund the total price minus shipping and handling as long as the following bullet points are met:

  • BTU Direct LLC must authorize the return before any item is shipped to us.
  • The equipment must be in the condition as it was when received by you. It cannot have been installed.
  • All documentation included with the purchase must be included.
  • BTU Direct LLC charges a 15% restocking fee plus costs associated with insured freight to our location.
  • Refunds are limited to 15 days after the date of purchase of materials.
  • Returning materials are the responsibility of the buyer.
  • Allow 3-4 weeks for refund from the time BTU Direct LLC receives your return.
Shipping claims

Upon arrival of your shipment, it is the buyer's responsibility to note any damages incurred from shipping. Contact us as soon as possible with shipping claims.

Order fulfillment

Incorrect materials sent must be reported to us within 5 days of arrival of your shipment. Note all shortages on the delivery receipt and contact us.

Refrigerant notice

Federal law prohibits opening refrigerant lines of any equipment to the atmosphere. A properly certified technician is required to handle any refrigerant. Buyer is responsible to uphold federal law and all local codes that apply.

System selection

At BTU Direct LLC, we strongly recommend having a certified professional survey your equipment needs, for proper system application. BTU Direct LLC shall not be held liable in any way for improper sizing, operation and application of all purchases.
